The Fly-In on Sunday 7th March was a GREAT success!! Over 50 aircraft booked in!!

Thanks to the efforts of Ruby and Captain John Hilliard in the kitchen we managed to more than double the number of breakfasts and baps sold compared to the last fly-in in Jan with so many people flying in!

The atmosphere was really good with plenty of microlighters enjoying the company of like minded people!! All who came had a great day, If you didnt manage to get to the airfield and missed out, watch out for the next Fly-In planned for April and come and enjoy the day! - the date to be announced here shortly.

Minuets of Club Meeting held on 28th February 2010-03-03

Present Rob Howieson, Chris & Gaynor Andrews, Steve Redding, Viv Greeve, Mick Hyde, John Hartley, Calum Brock, Bill Traynor-Kean , Phil Houston, Simon James.

1) Steve Redding proposed that a club T-shirt/polo shirt should be produced and

he will undertake the task of obtaining costs design and minimum run size.

Would all club members submit proposed designs for the shirts logo to Steve

at C10@octapusscomputers.com as soon as possible.

2) Flights out organization was to be in the hands of Chris Andrews who has

suggested a mixture of structured and ad hoc fly outs with the first on

6th March to the Shuttleworth collection pilots to meet at 10.00 at Deenethorpe

with take off scheduled for 11.00 space for non licence holders on a as

available basis. The first major fly out weekend would be to Popham Airfield

on April 30th,  leaving the field at 15.00 ground transportation would be

provided for tentage and equipment. Chris will issue a more detailed

programme nearer the event. Pilots under training will be welcome on a space

available basis.

 3) A discussion on club accommodation was initiated with the suggestion that a

members only room was allocated however this was rejected by the

membership as it would be difficult to maintain standards and would be seen

to be detrimental to cohesion amongst the airfield users and potential new

members remembering that during the main flying season most of the social

use was made of the patio area.

4) Bill TK suggested that we could start radio training within the club and would

Submit a suggested training syllabus   to Simon for discussion/approval.

Next meeting at the club Sunday March 27th at 09.00
